Psalm 57:8

My heart is steadfast, O God; my heart is steadfast.


Despite all the voices of the world that run contrary to the teachings of God, our hearts should be steadfast in faithfulness to the Lord.  Yes, there are times when we are weak and we give in to those voices by committing sin, but if we turn back to the Lord and ask forgiveness, we are being steadfast in our love for him.  Through prayer and vigilance we will turn away less often. Through prayer and vigilance we will turn to him in times of temptation and be made strong.  For the Lord is ever faithful and remembers his covenant with us forever.
