Mark 6:34

He pitied them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them at great length.

Sheep are not among the most intelligent animals to say the least.  Unless they have a shepherd to guide them, they wander around aimlessly, lost, searching.

We too can be like that.  We spend our lives wandering, searching, moving from event to event, experience to experience never really satisfied.  Always looking for something more, but settling for something less.

Our whole lives will be wasted unless we come to the realization that we have a shepherd.  His name is Jesus.   He's a good shepherd.  He teaches us that we are loved and that our worth is not found in life experiences or what we accomplish.  Our worth is found in who we are- children of God.

Follow Jesus and let him lead you to greener pastures.

It's well past midnight
And I'm awake with questions that won't
Wait for daylight
Separating fact from my imaginary fiction
On this shelf of my conviction
I need to find a place
Where You and I come face to face
