Some say that life is a journey. I think it is better to say that life is a series of journeys. Each one changes us such that we become someone different than the person we were when we first started. Some people plan and follow their own journeys. Others follow the journeys laid out for them by God. Those that follow the ones God has chosen for them have more peace in their lives. They don't necessarily have it easier, but they are more peaceful. They know that when things get tough, God is there with them. They know that they haven't left him behind while they've wandered off along some self-created path.
